Bioware: We’d “Love” To Revisit ‘Jade Empire’

In an interview with Lead Designer of Dragon Age: Origins Mike Laidlaw, the interviewer Dakota Grabowski (which, by the way, has to be one of the best names ever) gave a pretty standard interview until he asked a little nugget of a question of one of their previous entries: Jade Empire.
Laidlaw basically said that the game is a staff favorite and they’d love to revisit it, but Dragon Age and Mass Effect is on their radar as of right now.
Jade Empire is a XBOX title that was made by Bioware after the huge successes of both Knights of the Old Republic games. It was an action RPG set in a fantasy Asian setting that blended various mythologies. The game ended up being a very successful game, due more to the pedigree of Bioware.
Brad’s Take: Hold on to your jockey’s kids…this one isn’t going to happen anytime soon. In fact, if they do eventually return to this game, my thoughts it wouldn’t be until both storylines are tied and completed. Does it sadden me to say that? Absolutely.
That being said, they could very well hand their IP over to Obsidian and they can do a nice little Treyarch job if you REALLY want another?
