Speaking to Eurogamer, Senior Producer of LittleBigPlanet PSP Mark Green said that this version will not have multiplayer in the game. Also being limited is the amount of planes the levels can be played on: which goes from 3 planes to 2.

Green is quick to point out, however, that LittleBigPlanet PSP will have all of the other features that the PS3 version did, including full customization of Sackpeople, the deep level creator and will also have an improved jumping mechanic.

Brad’s Take: Whether you swallow this news willingly or find it tough to shove down your throat, LittleBigPlanet with no multiplayer is a huge blow to the game. Speaking as someone who gets the most joy out of LBP when playing with my 6 year old, this omittion turns what would have been a must purchase into a hard rent.

Also, I really hate to say this, but I feel LittleBigPlanet pretty much underwhelmed when it came to its creation tools and how you find levels. The Media Molecule levels, however, are nothing short of briliant and provide some of the best platforming, so let’s hope those levels have the polish we’ve come to expect.
