About Damn Time – Sony Officially Announces PS3 Slim; $299
At their Gamescom press conference, Sony officially announced that the PS3 Slim will be released in the beginning of September for $299. The one SKU will have 120GB, Blu-Ray capabilities and…well, everything that the “Fatty” version does. The current “Fatty” models will be sold off from other stores for $299 for the 60 and the Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune bundle will be $399.
Brad’s Take: Jeez, did that take long enough? You know, there’s something to be said about Sony’s Public Relations that let’s leaks go through their company AND STILL decide to announce it 2 – 3 months after the damned leak. I mean, really, what did you think that was going to do Sony?
Anyway, if you haven’t bought a PS3, you have your reason to now: it’s affordable. Now go!
