iWhat?: Zune HD confirmed, Zune Marketplace coming to 360

After rumors swirling over the dissolution of its Zune hardware, Microsoft announces that the Zune HD will be coming to stores this fall.
The specs are minimalist at best thus far, but the new Zune will be touchscreen only and will likely be a competitor to the ultra popular (and newly owned by Brad Wiswall) iPod Touch.
Finally, Microsoft will do away with Xbox Live’s Video Marketplace and implement the Zune Marketplace to the 360 as soon as the Zune HD is released.
Brad’s Take: Is it me or does Microsoft have kind of a “Me too!” attitude when it comes to their multimedia devices? Most companies, in order to compete with Apple, do things a bit differently, make their devices more affordable…you know, something different.
Microsoft? Looks like a carbon copy! Mind you, the device looks slick as hell, but after my run-in with the Zune (crashed 4 times within 1 year!), it would take a lot for me to pick one up.
